easy dog food recipes - German Pinscher Questions

Question #1:

My German Shepherd just died after six years.?

He just turned six, on August 27. They normally live for 9 and a half years. The day before he was fine! We think he had a stroke or seizure. And my mother really misses him, but the house is left unprotected. My brother was thinking about getting a Doberman Pinscher around november so it gives her plenty of time to heal and what not. So, my question is it was such a sudden death, what could have happened to him to make him die so suddenly? and Would a Doberman be a good dog, for family, and house protecting?
We're not trying to replace our beloved Maximus.
We got him from a breeder in Maryland.

Question #2:

Is it possible for a german shepherd to have sex with a dovermen pinscher?

I have a dovermen pinscher and my german shepherd keeps trying to have sex with her.
Thank you for all your help, sorry about the spelling error no reason to be dicks about it. Their my dads dogs so i'll just tell him all this.

Question #3:

my aunt is so mean to her dogs!?

hi
well my aunt has 2 snakes 3 dogs 1 ferret and 1 cat
ok the snakes are fine
she had 2 ferrets but she took crappy care of them and one died and the other lives in this dirty gross sh!ty cage
the cat is ALWAYS locked up in the basement it came up one day and my cousin yells for it to go back down stairs [i had to pet her i felt so bad and you could tell she wanted love ]
ok she has a min pinscher which belongs to my cousin [NOT the one who yelled at the cat] and my younger cousin plays with him also but he is the only one who gets to walk around the house because my 2 cousins like him [they wanted to get rid of him but my cousins wouldn't let her]
she has a german shepard but this is the sad thing that big dog is locked up in a cage she cant even stand up in! i feel sooo bad
then she got this little dog who they just got so they are stil training the pup the dog ran outside when the other dogs were going to the bathroom and my cousin [this cousin is a b!tch to everyone] beat the little dog so bad i thought she killed him

i dont want to call animal control but i dont know what to do i feel so bad for all her animals
she keeps buying new pets and will get rid of them or whack them!

Question #4:

my brother already has a german shepard puppy and i've picked up two breeds which suits me 1. doberman pinscher 2. rottweiler i can't decide between them which one should i get i'm a really active person i have a garden and i have a local park next to me. we can afford the food and everything we want a type of family dog. thanks for your help. the german shepard is a puppy and has fantastic temparment and i'm going to buy the dog as a puppy.

Question #5:

Names For My 2 New Puppys!!!!!!?

This is my Red Fawn male-- Click Here
and my dark brown female-- Click Here
There both German Pinscher's. There bro and sis. I just got em lol I couldn't pick one so we got 2! So yah now we can't really decide on names. We have some in mind but are hoping someone will give us like a really cute one that fits perfect that we didn't think of! :)

Question #6:

Who should you get that doggy in the Window From?

I live in Palm Springs, Ca. Usa. Our only Pet Stores are Commercial Pet Stores "Petco" and "Petsmart" and they only Adopt pets out, there's not a selection of dogs to choose from on a daily basis, like pet stores used to do in the past.... There's going to the No-kill Animal Sh0eltor, but it is ran by our Police Department and most the dogs there are either mutts or dogs that you need insurance for because they on a dangerous dog list. Esp. Pitbulls, they claim that they are no-kill but they lucky to get a purebred dog for someone to adopt, they had a Neopolitan Mastiff female there and police man told me if she don't get adopted, this be her forever home, week went by I called him back up to see if anyone else taken her, he said you can come down and get her, I came down the next day afterwords, they told me they didn't have a choice but to put her to sleep because they ran out of space..they obviously lied to me and I was so upset they did this to her, when I wanted give her a wonderful home.

People over on Craigslist tell me don't ever buy a dog from backyard breeders, puppy mills, or hoarders

So where can I get me any of these type of Moloser dogs, a dog that doesn't cost me a fortune

Because of the Struggling Economy, the owners of the Neo Mastiff couldn't take care of her any longer, she was unfortunately big in size but she was also skin and bones because they left her chained up with not enough food and water so a neighbor anonomously called animal control and they took her in,they said they held on to her for over a month, fed her up as much as they could but sadly that police officer also said that the previous owners hit her, and that right there turned me away from adopting at sheltor, they put her to rest and she didn't do nothing wrong
There at petfinder most of these bigger dogs are located in the Los Angeles Area or Further than 200 miles away, one place mentioned there is owned "Gentle Giants" owned and ran by Actor "Burt Ward" from tv series batman, but they have a major contract with there breed of Giants, they still own them Click Here

This is what got me interested in owning a large breed dog
here you can read "Gentle Giants Rescue/Adoption Application and Requirements

There has to be someone better priced than them. lol

Question #7:

which pinscher is best;doberman pincher, german pinscher, or Miniature pinscher?

i kinda think doberman pincher but i read that they are vicious and hard to train. is this true? and would you advice adopting a puppy or an adult?
thanks in advance

Question #8:

Are German Pinschers normally hyper like mine???

I adopted a female german pinscher when she was 7 months old.

She was very calm when I first got her maybe cause she had kennel cough.

Well now she is healthy and she chases cars that drive by (don't worry there's a fence all around!), she'll take off 100yds in 2 seconds chasing after cars. Then she spends all day searching and digging for mice and squirrels.

Question #9:

would you recommend a doberman pinscher?

i asked this question about german shepherds, but i am looking into getting the perfect dog and would like to cover it all!
i need a dog that can protect me and my family and home, but that is safe around us.
i have no children but will definately some day so i need to know its temperament around babies and young children. i know no dog can be truly trusted with a child but i think everyone gets what i am saying.
i have heard great things about german shepherds as my nan had them with my dad and they were only ever perfect to the family, and this is what i would like.
so what are your experiences?

many thanks

Question #10:

My Dog is a Wimp! She's scared of EVERYTHING.?

I just recently got a German Shepherd in hopes intimidating protective guard dog. So far she was scared of my other dog of 4 years for a few days. (A lab) She is scared of water. She's scared of my friends MINIATURE pinscher and she cries, runs, and even pees whenever stuff like this happens. She peed everywhere when she first met my friends miniature pinscher and then when we tried to scare a friend my DOG got scared from the sudden yell and fell over, cried for about 10 seconds, and pissed. I took her outside and hosed her off since she slid in her pee, and she even cried then. I'm out of options, I don't know what else to do. My Lab is already enough of a puss, I can't have my Shepherd be the same. (She is a Female of about 8-9 months) Is there any practices for my dog that will harden her up? I'm planning to make a visit to a local dog park after she gets her shots to hopefully get passed that fear of other dogs. She hasn't had much problems with people though, and she'd probably greet a burglar with licks rather than bark. Any help would be much appreciated... thanks in advance.

Question #11:

what are your favorite dog breeds?

name your 5 favorite dog breeds and 5 least favorite dog breeds. i love all dogs. i am just asking which dogs you like and which dogs you wouldnt want to own. im just really bored.

my 5 favorite-

1. American Pit Bull Terrier
2. Rottweiler
3. German Shepherd
4. Doberman Pinscher
5. Siberian Husky

my 5 least favorite-

1. Labrador Retriever
2. Golden Retriever
3. Poodle
4. Chihuahua
5. English Bulldog
i think labs and goldens are so boring. almost everyone i know has one and they are starting to look like a different breed because they are being bred poorly and they are being overbred.

Question #12:

$600,000 dog? Tibetan Mastiff?

I found this site & the price just floored me.

My dream dog is a German Bred Red Female Doberman Pinscher & I cannot afford it. Can you imagine paying this price for a dog?

Question #13:

What's up with calling these breeds mutts?

For a while now I've been reading online about people calling breeds like Labradoodles and puggles 'mutts'. The dictionary definition for mutt is basically dogs that have parents who are mixed with different breeds example: Husky/wolf + Rottweiler/English setter = Mutt. I'm not a big fan of people calling puggles labradoodles, etc mutts. Reason being is there's several 'purebred' dogs out there that were actually mixed with other breeds before the became recognized and established breeds. Years ago the Australian shepherd looked more like an Otter hound but then Collie stock was added. In Germany the Doberman Pinscher was developed by mixing German pinschers with other breeds such as Rottweilers, hounds and many others. Another breed called the Lurcher is actually a sight hound and terrier mix, example: Greyhound + Lakeland terrier= Lurcher, though Lurchers can be any hound or terrier combination. The Tosa Inu, also called the Japanese Mastiff was developed by mixing Mastiffs with St. Bernards and Great Danes. Also, most so called 'mixed breeds' are recognized as established breeds after a number of years, they might not be recognized by the AKC but they're still established nonetheless. Labradoodles which were developed in the 80s are recognized as a 'breed' NOT a mutt. I don't get what's the point of calling them a mutt.

Anyone else feel the same?

Question #14:

Which one should i get?

I want a big dog. and i've narrowed it down to a few breeds. Labrador retriever, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, or a Doberman pinscher. What do you think? I also have 2 small dogs.
I also want it so be a guard dog. What about a Bullmastiff?

Question #15:

HOW CAN I GET HER TO STOP ?!!?

k'so my friend brags about EVERYTHING
& she is jealous of almost everything I own.
It all started when my parents both switched jobs, and we moved into a mansion, while she stayed behind. Since then, she calls 1-3 times a week. We dont live that far away, so I still get to see her every month or so, but whenever she comes over, or I come over, she always brags about everything she has. And call me a bitch for saying this but her family is kinda poor.
Let me list some things she brags about:
Her Dereon shoes; which she saved up for a year [she said they cost 250$, when I saw them in the same store for 50$]
Her TV; its a big TV, but the screen is crap. You know how when you're watching a 3D movie, its red and blue outlining or something, thats how her TV is
Her 'Laptop'; i put the quotations cause she's been bragging about this the longest [2 years now], and she brags about it even more when she comes over and sees my MBP.
her Aeropostale shirts; she has 3 & they were on clearance. I just see the envy in her eyes when she looks in my closet and sees hollister. abercrombie etc.
her hardwood floors; i know, right? she even brags about her floors. -_-
her dog; its a german wirehaired pointer, and shes saying her dog is better than mine. [i have a doberman pinscher] her dog is also semi mental, and they didnt get it microchipped, neutered, or its vaccinations

in all you can see she is a very big braggart.
she gets sooo jealous when she comes over to my house, cause thats the time she brags most.
Shes a nice person, i just want her to stop bragging.
how can i stop her ?
I'm not putting her down
I'm just giving everyone the facts.
Dont make assumpumtions

Question #18:

Are German Pinschers OK With Cats?

Question #19:

Help picking a dog breed?

I live in a townhouse but were moving to a bigger house around christmas. the youngest kid is 5 and knows how to handle dogs (knows not to pick them up) better than the 8 yr old. we have a male 2 yr old chihuahua. weve mdecided to get one of these breeds. we wanted a border collie but then my dad had second thoughts. ive researched these breeds but i cant find things like pros and cons. what are they?
Bordder Collie
Papillon
Golden Retriever
Doberman Pinscher
Chihuahua
German Shorthaired Pointer
I know how much exercise Border Collies need. I plan to take it to a dog park to do frisbee and try some agility.
Same with the other dogs.
im getting the new dog from a shelter or rescue
@Christian
Yeah ive heard of them. my friends uncle has one and im there a lot

Question #20:

Doberman pinscher, German shepherd, or Rhodesian ridgeback?

ok i have researched the breed but im asking this to get your opinion about them. i know answers to what im asking but the internet can be wrong and i want your experience and what you think about the questions. ok 1.What one will be more loyal to one person.
2.What one does better in cold.
3.What one will clam down and not always be jumping all over.
4.What one sheds the least, and what one sheds the most.
5.What dog would do best like hiking and climbing in the mountains(well mostly just camping)
6.What other dog would you suggest and why.
7.Whatever else you want to say.
so yeah just answer those and on six if you think one of them that i listed should go there put it, but if you think another dog would bo better please say.
what i should say is does better in really cold winters( somethimes -20f) and hot summers ( maybe 95f)
to the second answer(D.E. Bunker). it is apparent that you have a low level of comprehenson because if you understood the question at all you would have changed your answer. now i may or may not report you, but before i do that i going to see how many thumbs down you get.

The pet food recall scared us into making our own dog food at home for Blacky and Yeti. We did alot of research into dog nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the dogs - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other dog owners out there that would love to try these dog food recipes out on their dogs too! So, 123 DogFood.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
