Question #3:
k'so my friend brags about EVERYTHING
& she is jealous of almost everything I own.
It all started when my parents both switched jobs, and we moved into a mansion, while she stayed behind. Since then, she calls 1-3 times a week. We dont live that far away, so I still get to see her every month or so, but whenever she comes over, or I come over, she always brags about everything she has. And call me a bitch for saying this but her family is kinda poor.
Let me list some things she brags about:
Her Dereon shoes; which she saved up for a year [she said they cost 250$, when I saw them in the same store for 50$]
Her TV; its a big TV, but the screen is crap. You know how when you're watching a 3D movie, its red and blue outlining or something, thats how her TV is
Her 'Laptop'; i put the quotations cause she's been bragging about this the longest [2 years now], and she brags about it even more when she comes over and sees my MBP.
her Aeropostale shirts; she has 3 & they were on clearance. I just see the envy in her eyes when she looks in my closet and sees hollister. abercrombie etc.
her hardwood floors; i know, right? she even brags about her floors. -_-
her dog; its a german wirehaired pointer, and shes saying her dog is better than mine. [i have a doberman pinscher] her dog is also semi mental, and they didnt get it microchipped, neutered, or its vaccinations
in all you can see she is a very big braggart.
she gets sooo jealous when she comes over to my house, cause thats the time she brags most.
Shes a nice person, i just want her to stop bragging.
how can i stop her ?
I'm not putting her down
I'm just giving everyone the facts.
Dont make assumpumtions

Question #6:
Here's the thing....My 5 year old german wirehaired Pointer has figured out that he can jump the fence...I don't know exactly what kind of fence I have, the most common type I suppose...Can I wire it to shock his butt when he tries to jump over ??...If I don't, he's gonna get hit by a car...Help me out here ??
Question #7:
estimated to be 3 months old and i don't know if it will get big
Question #8:
i have a very healthy 55 pound german wirehaired pointer dog and she is acting very strange tonight. she has her tail deep between her legs and she lays down when you come near her. she is acting like someone just yelled at her. she isnt hurt or anything. she just disappears outside for hours. it is scaring me. this dog is my life and i love her more than anything. please please tell me what is wrong!!!!
we took her to the park tonight to excersise right after i asked this question...and now she is back to normal! :)
Question #9:
my friend lives kinda in the middle of nowhere he has like 6 acres of land she lives like in the middle of forest and she has 3 German wirehaired pointers and she is worried cause lately they have been killing the local birds i believe that she was talking about partridge birds
she said that within like the last 2 weeks they have dragged home about 5 or 6 of those birds and she is worried cause she has a hutch with rabbits and that someday they might even kill her rabbits
i told her that it is natural thing to a dog and that it cannot be stopped or controlled
the area of her house and land is fenced in so those birds sometimes fly in so that is why they are chasing and killing them
i visited her few months ago and i totally love where she lives just cause it is soo peaceful and nice and you are just surrounded by nature
Question #10:
I am thinking about buying a different breed of dog.My last dog was a german shorthaired pointer;passed away. And two particular breeds I found interesting was the whippet and the wirehaired fox terrier. But the problem is, I think the whippet would escape through my fence, by jumping right through the holes in the fence. I have cattle fence ( live on an acreage). And since these dogs just run, i think it would be a disaster waiting to happen, if i purchased a whippet. the same for the terrier. And also what dog would be easier to train.
Question #11:
these are the breeds: Bernese Mountain Dog, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Bloodhound, Boxer, German Shorthaired Pointer, Gordon Setter, Great Dane, Otterhound, Pointer, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Siberian Husky, or Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
and i am a single girl just out of college, not looking for protection, just a companion. i do live in an apartment, but there is plenty of exercise areas in walking distance. money isn't an issue.
So if anyone has ever had one of these breeds, i would love your recommendations!
thanks!

What is your favorite dog breed?
Question #13:
I'm planning on getting a German Wirehaired Pointer and would like to know the general temper of the breed. Help would be greatly thanked.
Question #14:
No, I don't want anymore dogs. lol Just a random poll for fun!
1. Poodle or Lowchen?
2. Cocker Spaniel or Chesapeake Bay Retriever?
3. Clumber Spaniel or English Cocker Spaniel?
4. Curly-Coated Retriever or English Setter?
5. Golden Retriever or Labrador Retriever?
6. German Wirehaired Pointer or Small Munsterlander Pointer?
7. Irish Water Spaniel or Irish Red and White Setter?
8. Vizsla or Wirehaired Vizsla?
9. Spinone Italiano or Bracco Italiano?
10. Portuguese Pointer or Australian Shepherd?
I love Cocker Spaniels!
A German Wirehaired Pointer is like a German Shorthaired Pointer, only with a bit longer fur and it is very corse instead of smooth.
Question #15:
I know it sounds crazy, but I have 30 dogs. No, I'm not kidding, and no, I'm not a hoarder. I live on a very large three generation working ranch. Please, no bad comments. We have a 300 acre ranch and need these dogs. Most are strictly working dogs.
I have a Bulldog named Chowder, who is 5 years old. He is strictly an indoor companion, but has proved his worth by breaking up more than a few fights between our holstein bulls.
Then, there is Geekie. He is a 12 year old Wire Fox Terrier. Back when we had a problem with foxes getting our chickens he was used to hunt and kill them. He is now an indoor companion.
Next is Scrumptious, an 11 year old Portuguese Podengo Pequeno. We use him to flush birds when hunting and he keeps rats out of the barnyard.
I also have a 4 year old German Wirehaired Pointer named Missy. She is our best bird retriever!
Oberon is a 6 year old Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen. He is our best rabbit hunter.
Intrepid is a 3 year old Giant Schnauzer. He is our cattle drover.
Caesar is a 1 year old Argentine Dogo pup. We bought him not long ago because we were having a problem with some large predator taking our livestock. We think it might be a puma or coyote, but aren't sure. They definately stay away from him!
Kosmic is a 2 year old Basset Hound. Not the world's best rabbit hunter, but loves the chase!
Dodger is a 10 year old Stabyhoun. He is our resident mole/gopher eradicator.
Charlie is a 3 year old American Eskimo Dog. He is my baby who sleeps with me every single night!
Cassius is one of our newer additions. He is a 1 year old Spinone Italiano. Cassius is another one of our retrievers.
Cricket is a 9 year old Thai Ridgeback. She is a retired breeding and we adopted her recently just as an exotic looking companion.
Harley is a 10 year old Pharaoh Hound. He is another rabbit hunter, very good, but getting a bit slow.
Cristyl is a 2 year old Berger Picard. Strictly a sheep herder.
Bruno is a 1 year old Dandie Dinmont Terrier. He is used alongside Scrumptious to kill any rats, mats, or other rodents that try to get into our grain.
Quasimodo is a 9 year old Coton de Tulear. Just another house pet!
Giggles is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees. 100% a sheep guardian.
Singer is a 9 year old Skye Terrier. Used to eradicate a fox once in a blue moon. We rarely have a problem with that, but have to keep our chickens safe.
Mu Shu is a Russell Terrier, about 4 years old. He is another ratter, but mainly works well out in the field and pastures.
Derby is a 9 year old Border Terrier, works in the western fields/yard killing rats.
Otto is a 3 year old Whippet. I bought him as a companion, but he also participates in recreational racing, just for fun, alongside other pet Whippets and Greyhounds
Tova is almost a year old Estrela Mountain Dog. She lives out with Giggles in training to be a flock guard so we can expand our wool business.
Chew-Chew is our retired Anatolian Shepherd Dog, around 9 years old. He use to guard our flock, but was badly wounded by some sort of large predator. We don't know what, but it was very big to take down a 150 lb dog!
Ferdinand is a 10 year old Plott Hound. He helps find and take bear during hunting season.
Abby is a 5 year old Neapolitan Mastiff. She is a guard dog and has wrangled a few coyotes in her time. She is well over 100 lbs, lives and sleeps on our porch, but great protection.
Gopher is a 10 year old Cocker Spaniel. He use to hunt, but has been retired since.
Crawdad is our 6 year old Alaskan Malamute. Just a fun dog to have around, rescued from a kill shelter, pulls sleds for my younger brother and sister in the winter!
Gunther a Tosa or Mastiff Mix. We found him as a stray, about 7 years old. Great guard dog. Lives on the other side of our ranch and will kill any animal that comes near him. Loves his family though, but not strangers!
Tricky is a 10 year old Harrier. Use to hunt rabbit in his younger days.
Buginarug is a 12 year old Boxer. He is a guard dog for the east side of our ranch, but also helps out with the bulls when we have to move any for breeding.
I think I've named them all....Please tell me about your dogs!
awww thank you for helping a dog in need!
i appreciate that i haven't gotten any rude answers :D
fufufu - your dogs sound wonderful! papillons are so cute. i love their funny little ears!
yes, 30 dogs i a lot, but almost all are working dogs. i help a lot with the feeding, grooming, health care, etc. of all the dogs and other animals. my older sister, younger brother and sister, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, and two of my uncles live on the ranch with us. It's an organic family farm that's been running for about 75 years (that's what my grandfather says). My father and grandfather run it mostly, but it is huge and they enjoy using dogs to take care of the animals, to hunt, guard, and keep pesky wild animals away. Myf grandfather says they are cheaper than paid employees and better family members! hahaha
We have no limit on the amount of dogs we can have, since we are WAY out in the country. It's a lot of work, but it's also worth it. I grew up with tons of animals. lol
Question #16:
Question #17:
He's a 5 year old German Wirehaired Pointer, never been sick...And aside from the really pussy eyes the last couple of days, he's perfectly fine...I've even put my ear to his chest to see if I could hear any congestion and he seems just fine...
I was even just in the back yard playing fetch with him (a daily activity of ours) and he didn't run out of steam and there was no coughing...
But his eyes are so pussy, I've never seen them like this before...For two days now there's been a steady flow...Should I be worried ?
And please don't tell me to take him to the vet...I lost my job in March and have NO money...I can barely feed him and I certainly can't feed myself....
Does anyone have any idea what it can be ?
It's hilarious that Yahoo won't print pu*ss*y....Friggin HILARIOUS !!
Question #18:
we JUST got an 8 week old german wirehaired pointer and it has a wrinkly forehead and is brown with a white underbelly and white paws. Its a little boy cos it has a widgy and he has this cowboy look about him cos of his beard and slight moustache, so i need name ideas that sound cowboy-y, but i dnt mind if they're not cos its just a prefferance :P
Question #19:
I have a good sized yard, about 60x100...I have a 5 year old, intact German Wirehaired Pointer male...He's never gotten out...
My new next door neighbors are renters...They don't have a fence...
They have this absolute sweetheart named Daisy, she's a bull-mastiff...
Since they've moved in, they leave Daisy in Grandma's yard...She's the neighbor 2 doors down...Her fence is 3 foot, mine is 4 foot...
Every morning for the last week Daisy has woke me up with her barking, she's jumped out of the fence and running loose...She's going to be killed by a car !!!
Every morning I've babysitted her til Grandma comes home (Grandma drives a school bus) to keep her from getting hit by a car...
I personally gave them a key to my backyard and BEGGED them to leave Daisy in my yard when they're at work...It's absolutely no bother...
Three days ago I even left them a note on their front door....Begging them AGAIN please use my yard...You know what's going on right now ? That poor baby is on a 10 foot cable chained to the light pole behind my house...Crying, horribly....
What can I do to convince these people to just keep her in my yard ? I've made it VERY clear that she's no bother at ALL...All they have to do is use the stupid key !
Question #20:
I know, I'm being anal...But my 5 year old German Wirehaired Pointer is used to a big back yard and a soft bed right here in the living room...
I'm leaving for Vegas tonight with my BF and I called and called the woman that I usually use to board...No answer and she doesn't have a machine !!!
I ended up leaving him at my vet's office where I know he'll be kept in a tiny cage all night and a 6x9 kennel on concrete during the day...
You'll think I'm being anal here but he's a bit retarded (born dead, saved by me, oxygen starved, he's indeed retarded) and he won't understand this...I'll be gone for 6 days...I know that he's "safe" where he is but much unlike the place I usually board him where he's allowed to run free for a few hours a day...
I don't know that anyone can actually give me an "answer" here...It's just that he's my last baby and I'm the only one who understands him and he's going to be sick, absolutely sick with dispair for 6 days...Help ease my mind please ?

The pet food recall scared us into making our own dog food at home for Blacky and Yeti. We did alot of research into dog nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the dogs - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other dog owners out there that would love to try these dog food recipes out on their dogs too! So, 123 DogFood.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
